Annabelle Scott Named Head of Marketing and Development for The Weston Collective
"It's official! After a unanimous vote of approval from the board of directors last night, we would like to announce the appointment of Zach Weston as the new Executive Director and Annabelle Scott as VP of Development and Marketing for The Weston Collective! The future is bright..."
Carmel, CA - August 11, 2016 - Today, the board of Weston Photography Inc., a non-profit organization promoting the use of black and white film photography in Monterey County, announced that it is in the process of changing the name to The Weston Collective and has welcomed new leadership.
The Weston Scholarship was founded in 2004 by Gina and Kim Weston to support high school and college students studying fine art photography in Monterey County and has since awarded more than $94,000 to photography students in our community.
The board voted to name Zachary Weston, great-grandson of photography legend Edward Weston and a fourth generation film photographer, Executive Director of The Weston Collective and Annabelle Scott Vice President of Development and Marketing.
“Annabelle and Zach bring fresh, young, and creative energy to the organization and I am confident that they will be able to take the scholarship to new heights. Most importantly, they have a passion for the conservation of film photography in our community’s youth and they are willing to go as far as it takes to keep it alive,” says Kim Weston, world-renowned film photographer and president of The Weston Collective’s board of directors.
The Weston Collective will act as an umbrella term under which the three branches of the non-profit (the Weston legacy, the Weston Scholarship, and the patrons of the organization) will now fall. Learn more on their newly re-designed website www.thewestoncollective.org.
